Definition:
- “Revenue sharing” means how sales revenue (Product Price) is split between the creator (author) and the platform.
- Commission Rate (73%, 75%, 80%) = Creator’s revenue share.
- The platform keeps the remaining percentage as platform fee.
Detailed Calculation:
- Total Sales Value:
- Total Sales Value = Product Price + Sales Tax (based on the buyer’s country). Click here
- Earnings:
- Base Earnings = Product Price × Commission Rate (73%, 75%, or 80%).
- After calculating Base Earnings, subtract the Transaction Fee.
- Transaction Fee:
- Transaction Fee = 5% of Total Sales Value + $0.50 per transaction.
- For orders containing multiple products, the transaction fee per product decreases, as the fixed fee of $0.50 is applied only once per transaction.
- Transaction fees are determined by the payment gateway and may vary depending on their policies.
- Each transaction corresponds to a single, uniquely identified order.
Example (Beginner – Author):
- Product Price: $10
- Sales Tax: $1 (assuming 10% sales tax, varies by country)
- Total Sales Value:
- $10 + $1 = $11
- Base Earnings (73%):
- $10 × 73% = $7.30
- Transaction Fee:
- ($11 × 5%) + $0.50 = $1.05
- Note: For orders with multiple products, the fixed fee of $0.50 is applied only once per transaction, reducing the transaction fee per product.
- Net Earnings:
- $7.30 – $1.05 = $6.25
- For an order with 5 products (from the same author):
